Suffering from years of neglect and a poorly executed remodel during the 1980s, the new owners looked to modernize this mid-century home. The traditional details were reinterpreted and disonant materials removed and replaced with elements more in keeping with the home’s construction period. On the interior the master bathroom was completely remodeled, new flooring installed in the kitchen and living room, and a classic free standing “saucer” fireplace was refurbished. For the exterior, the wood siding was replaced, new roofing installed, and a resurfaced pool and concrete patio completed an outdoor living/entertaining area the owner’s were desperately seeking.
